Is Alize Bella 100 good for amigurumi?

It works for small, soft toys, but it is not the firmest choice. Bella 100 is pure matte cotton with a loose twist, so it gives a gentle look yet can split on a tight amigurumi stitch. Use a 2–2.5 mm hook and work steadily. For crisper, firmer toys, a tightly twisted blend such as Alize Cotton Gold Hobby New is easier.

How many balls of Bella 100 for a summer top?

Most adult summer tops need 2–3 balls. Each 100 g ball holds 360 m, and a sport-weight top typically uses 700–1,000 m depending on size and sleeve length, so 1,000 ÷ 360 rounds up to 3. Crochet tops and longer tunics use more, so allow an extra ball from the same dye lot for those.

Bella 100 vs Cotton Gold: which is better for summer?

Bella 100 is the cooler pick for hot weather, since it is 100% cotton, while Alize Cotton Gold blends 55% cotton with 45% acrylic for a softer but warmer fabric. Bella is also finer, 360 m per 100 g versus 330 m. Choose Bella for midsummer tops and Cotton Gold for spring layers, kids' wear and toys.

Is Alize Bella 100 safe for baby clothes?

Yes. It is pure cotton and certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, like other Alize yarns, so it is tested for harmful substances and breathes well against a baby's skin.
