Mark the start of each round with a stitch marker and feel for stitches rather than looking. A hook a size or two below the 5 mm label packs the pile tighter and keeps stuffing hidden.

Is YarnArt Piuma safe for baby toys?

It is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which tests for harmful substances, so it suits soft toys and comforters. For children under 3, crochet tightly so stuffing can't escape, sew parts on firmly, and use locking safety eyes or embroider the eyes instead of using buttons. Give fluffy toys a quick tug test on every seam.

How many balls of Piuma for a cushion cover?

Plan on 3–4 balls for a 40 × 40 cm cushion with a fur front and back. A cover that size in worsted-weight yarn typically takes 300–400 m, and each 50 g ball of Piuma holds 100 m. To save yarn, make just the front in Piuma and the back in a smooth cotton or wool blend.
