Why choose DROPS Pro Circus Crochet Hook Set?

Nine Sizes, 2–6 mm: The DROPS Pro Circus set holds nine 13 cm aluminum crochet hooks with bright grip handles, from 2 to 6 mm in half-millimeter steps, in a pink faux-leather case with a clear front.
Easy Grip, Easy Sorting: A fuller grip handle helps keep tension relaxed and stitches even, the smooth aluminum shaft slides without snagging, and each size has its own handle color, visible through the case window.
Covers Everyday Projects: The range spans fine cotton for amigurumi and lace at 2–3 mm, DK garments at 4–4.5 mm and worsted bags or blankets at 5–6 mm. Bulky chenille above 6 mm needs a larger single hook.

TIPS & TRICKS

Pattern Tip: DROPS sorts its yarns into groups A to F by thickness, and yarns in one group can usually replace each other. Here, the 2.5–3.5 mm hooks suit group A yarns like DROPS Safran; the 4–5 mm hooks suit group B, like DROPS Merino Extra Fine.

Reviews about DROPS Pro Circus Crochet Hook Set

About Product

What sizes are in the DROPS Pro Circus crochet hook set in US terms?

Nine hooks: 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5 and 6 mm. In US sizing that means E-4 (3.5 mm), G-6 (4 mm), 7 (4.5 mm), H-8 (5 mm), I-9 (5.5 mm) and J-10 (6 mm). The three smallest hooks fall between US letter sizes, so follow the millimeters in your pattern.

Is the DROPS Pro Circus set a good gift for a beginner crocheter?

Yes, it covers the sizes most beginner patterns call for, but it holds hooks and a case only. Add small scissors, a tapestry needle for weaving in ends and stitch markers such as Stitch Markers in Metal Box – Set of 100 (Metallic or Multicolor), plus a smooth, light-colored yarn so a new crocheter can see each stitch.

DROPS Pro Circus set vs KnitPro Waves 2.0 Deluxe: which to choose?

Both hold nine aluminum hooks from 2 to 6 mm with soft, color-coded handles. Pro Circus hooks are 13 cm and come in a faux-leather case with a clear front. The KnitPro Waves 2.0 Deluxe Crochet Hook Set (9 hooks) has a slim, flattened handle and a rounded tip, stored in a zippered fabric case with a slot for each hook.
